Brand identity design for a Children’s Physiotherapy Practice
A professional identity design for a children’s physiotherapist and trainer. The challenge was to create an identity that reflects the child centred approach of the physiotherapy services offered, as well as the professional training courses that they deliver to teachers and parents.
The brand icon is a cheerful yellow star which represents progress and future development. We developed a distinctive colour palette for each side of the business, based on a bright blue for the physiotherapy treatment side and green for the training courses. The star can be used alone or with the brand name, alongside a range of bespoke graphics, images and icons
WordPress with bespoke templates, plugins and shortcodes.
Having designed the very first website for Julia Dyer, over 10 years ago, we were recently invited to create a fresh, responsive, modern website to reflect the growth and new focus of the business. The design was carefully crafted to be attractive, user friendly and informative for Parents, Children and Child care professionals.
The design challenges were:- to present accessible content for children and parents, and course information to teachers, from this well respected Children’s physiotherapist. We focused on a child-friendly design while avoiding the ‘childish’
Several bespoke plugins and shortcodes were created to allow the user to keep course information and other specialised content up to date with ease. These included a bespoke course listing sidebar plugin and WordPress shortcodes to style client reviews and newsletter content. We redesigned the native WordPress content management system to make editing the website much easier and more intuitive for the client.
Bespoke WordPress templates
A range of unique WordPress page templates were created in order to highlight the distinct areas of the site dedicated to parents and teachers. We also sourced from stock and created a library of eye-catching images and icons for use throughout the website and email newsletters.
A bespoke plugin was created to integrate with Mailchimp, allowing the user to create Newsletters from within WordPress. These are easily exported to Mailchimp and published on the web site – saving a lot of extra work for the site owner. We also designed the Mailchimp templates, including unique headers and images
The website ranks on page 1 of Google for all of the owner’s desired key search terms and phrases. This has been achieved and maintained entirely through our on-site search engine optimisation services. We had achieved good natural rankings for key search phrases on the original website over it’s 10 year lifespan. We were now tasked with preserving this after migration to WordPress and adding more top level SEO results for new services. With careful planning of the redesign and SEO we ensured continuing and improved organic Google rankings without advertising or any off-site SEO.
